Play Money is building the modern commerce experience for angel investing. It helps everyday angels build diversified startup portfolios without making investing a full-time job or rolling up with a truck full of money. We deploy more capital per month than a $25M venture fund, and are growing 10% month over month.
Our magic to the ecosystem is minting repeat investors.
Your job is to get new folks in the door primed to make their first investment.
Why this role exists
This is not a blank-page content role. It’s not a ghostwriting role.
- The founders generate fresh on-brand, opinionated content each week.
- You’ll inherit a deep back catalog of past content plus a few under-utilized long-form thought leadership pieces.
- We have a distinctive brand voice /vibe and a deep understanding of our ICP and customer journey.
You won’t be asked to invent a narrative from scratch; you’ll own the systems that turn this insight into a consistent, high-performing content engine across social and media distribution channels.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Turning weekly founder content and long-form thought leadership into social-native assets on the channels that actually drive signups.
- Owning content operations end to end: intake, repackaging, publishing, distribution, optimization, and automation.
- Building and refining workflows, templates, and AI-assisted systems so repeatable formats run smoothly, and your energy goes to new experiments.
- Own top-of-funnel reporting (visits and organic signups) and execute on what to try next based on the data.
- Stay current on platform best practices and apply them wherever our audience spends time.
You think doing these things is fun:
- Turning a whitepaper into a graphic-novel-style Substack series.
- Recording a video overlay to a standard LinkedIn “deal closed” carousel that takes off on IG or TikTok.
- Turning a 15-minute deal lead interview into a vertical-market investing rubric that folks forward to their friends.
- Testing formats, measuring what works, and scaling the winners.
- Building systems so the “standard stuff” runs on autopilot and you get to focus on the interesting problems. Your agent army is welcome here!
You’ll have these characteristics:
- Curiosity + bias for action + ownership + scrappy judgment rule the day!
- Strong taste for what’s on trend but with the judgment to know when to turn the volume up or down.
- Deep spidey-sense for and repulsion to AI-written content.
- Comfort moving between creative work and performance data.
- An itch to automate anything that has to be done regularly.
You’ll be able to show us:
- Social accounts you’ve grown or shaped or automations, apps, AI skills or side quests you’ve been working on.
How we’ll know it’s working:
- Qualified signups from accredited, angel-curious investors.
- Increasing organic traffic and content-driven conversion.
- Followers and engagements are a great leading indicator of future success, but followers for the sake of followers is not the goal (we see you, LinkedIn!)
