WHAT WE DID IN MAY

✅ Helping folks say 'Yes' to Invest

We launched our long-overdue Angel education last week. We have two tracks: 

• Angel 101: for folks that have made zero Angel investments before Play Money (that's 40% of you!!) or that signed up before we started asking that question. 
  

• What no body tells you about Angel: This goes to everyone who has made previous angel investments, and is the follow on to Angel 101.

✴️ 👉 Favor: Please send us feedback! Education is a core part of our value prop to other communities. Your feedback is the best way for us to get better and will massively improve our email deliverability to new folks signing up. 

✅ Go to Market:  We have two community groups actively engaged for June launches. And we got picked for The Pitch Show!! 🤞 Fingers crossed our episode makes the cut. It would put us in front of 100K aspiring angels. And as a potential partner, they'd bring killer deal flow. 

✅ Product: Investing for Entities, Trusts, and Non-US Citizens: Rolling out later this week! Big thanks to everyone who has offered to invest and test.

⛔ Rough Spots

• We whiffed a bit on May deals.

They didn't get nearly as much investment as our March/April pipeline. We have a few theories on why, and we'll test those in June.

• New deals drop on Thursdays - except when they don't.
  We are pausing new deals for 2 weeks while we upgrade some backend tech to strengthen our business long term. Existing deals remain open. 
  
  This upgrade will enable us to do some new things with SPVs that founders and community leads are going to go 🍌 🍌 over.  

ON DECK FOR JUNE:

We are working on some of the more foundational "social features". We'll drop some deal memo glow ups while we architect stuff behind the scenes.

🍉 We are FINALLY ready to do post-SPV funder/founder zoom calls. Founders are stoked. Keep an eye out for invites if you've invested.
