Welcome to our monthly "Build In Public Update". It's pretty close to what we share with our investors and members each month.
Thank goodness, the summer slowdown has started to lift. We are picking up where we left off in June, both in platform activity and partnership convos.
We ended Aug $1500 away from our 2nd $100K month, closed our 2nd largest SPV to date, and clocked in at +20% M/M growth in new investors and dollars invested. Feels good to be back!

We are starting to release what is nothing short of a full platform overhaul as we finish the migration from Sydecar. It's been a monster effort from the team.
Major SPV infrastructure dropped this weekend.
Enhanced partner-friendly signup flow went out Monday morning.
Deal Memo glow-up and a handful of other upgrades are queued in staging.

We have *so* many irons in the fire with potential partners - but I know better than to drop names before deals are inked.
We have a few in the works that could be game-changers for us as a business and for bringing incredible deals to the platform.
I will let it leak that Play Money is the activation partner for the Show Her the Money Movie!!
We are stoked to help turn energy from the movie into action and maybe mint 10K new angels along the way.
We are particularly excited about activations this Fall as the movie expands to virtual screenings and angel-investing panels with Fortune 500 corporate audiences.
SEPTEMBER FOCUS
Our business has changed dramatically over the past two months. It's time for a serious regroup on our roadmap now that the infrastructure work is complete and we can get back to the community- and partner-facing features that will make Play Money magic. 🎉
As we regroup on the roadmap we'll be doubling down on product- and content-led growth.
Email reminders to folks who had dug into an investment but hadn't pulled the trigger drove 30% of our investing volume this month -- resulting in some very happy members who didn't miss out on one of the best deals ever on the platform. We'll be making that experiment permanent.
We saw even the smallest bites of content translate into new signups and partners. We are kicking those efforts into high gear. More members = more funding for founders.

Kirstine, for an amazingly fun dinner during a downpour in NYC. The Girlmath Crew for a super fun event in NYC that opened the door to a potentially juicy partnership. Holly, who will be hosting the first Show Me the Money screening that promotes Play Money! Paul, for constantly opening doors and providing feedback. Ann Marie who prompted a LinkedIn post that garnered us 34K views, 300 followers, and two strong inbound partner leads. Alan for moral support on my teen girl drama this weekend.
