Play Money! Oregon

The Oregon Angel Community on Play Money was created to bring together investors, founders, and startup champions across Portland, Bend, Eugene, and beyond in one digital home. For too long, Oregon’s angel investing has been fragmented across different groups and small networks.

By centralizing on Play Money, we’re making it easier for accredited investors to discover opportunities, pool capital through simple SPVs, and support the most promising founders coming out of our region. The platform also enables founders to access the networks, expertise, and amplification this community can provide, with near-zero additional overhead.

This launch is timed with the Bend Venture Conference, a flagship event in the Northwest startup calendar. The BVC is where many of Oregon’s most exciting early companies get their first spotlight, and we’re proud to support the early-stage track. Beyond the conference, this platform will serve as a year‑round hub where investors can connect, share deal flow, continue the education around best practices, and—most importantly—put more capital to work in Oregon startups. **Founding organizers include long‑time Oregon startup community builders like Josh Carter of Founder First Fund and Brian Vierra of Bend Venture Conference. **
Play Money makes it easy for the next generation of Angels to build their dream startup portfolio without making investing a full-time job, and at just about any budget. It's always free to lurk and learn, the only requirement is that you are an accredited investor. Every time a vetted Oregon startup backed by a local VC or Angel group is ready to raise, this community will hear about it first.
